Summary

Horizon Wireless is looking to add an additional member to our Wireless field team to support a rapidly growing wireless network. This entry-level position is the best place to start your career as a fixed-wireless technician, with many opportunities for future advancement.  Horizon Wireless is a locally-run, locally owned ISP in the beautiful Tobacco Valley, Montana. Duties
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performing site-surveys at customer homes/businesses to qualify them for fixed-wireless service.

• Installing fixed wireless service at customer homes/businesses. This task is similar to installing satellite television service, and requires climbing ladders, operating bucket trucks, climbing on roofs, trenching, etc.

• Programming wireless equipment and routers for installation at job sites.

• Responding to trouble calls and restoring customer services.

• Visiting qualified homes in our service areas and talking to customers about our services.

Requirements

Successful candidates are out-of-the-box thinkers with a “can-do” attitude. Every install and customer is different, so being able to apply critical thinking to solve problems essential.

Candidate must have the physical ability to perform the required tasks, including carrying heavy loads on ladders and onto rooftops. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Certifications and/or Licenses

Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standards

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to use personal computer and software applications

Ability to operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with position (e.g. signal level meters, ohm meters, etc.)

Experience with consumer education of products and services

• We will provide you with on-the-job training and teach you the skills necessary to perform your job successfully. You will work side-by-side with another technician for at least the first couple months of employment.

• A starting wage of $15/hour.

Once you have mastered the entry-level tasks, you will be given the opportunity to explore other areas, such as tower climbing, RF planning, and facility installation and maintenance.
